What could be causing a painful/tender spot of skin on my chest?

I have an area about 1" large that is sore when lightly touched (harder pressing doesn't hurt, so not a bruise).





There is no discoloration, rash or any other symptoms (ie. I have not been recently ill, haven't had any trauma to the area).





I've had this for about 3 or 4 days now.

What could be causing a painful/tender spot of skin on my chest?
could be the start of a cyst .. they hurt and get larger...just watch it and they are removeable if they hurt I have had about 3 removed and its no big deal.
