If so, what did it do for your skin? Did you see a noticeable improvement? Be as specific as possible and don't be afraid to attach photos.
I'm trying to do microdermabrasion to remove some minor facial scars, enlarged pores, rough skin, and discoloration. Do you think microdermabrasion would help me?
Have you had any luck with microdermabrasion?
if you have it dont professionally, yes. do not do the home kits, they are useless and not worth your money.
good luck!
Reply:kind of...it gets rid of the surface stuff but doesnt go in deep...
Reply:Microdermabrasion was helpful to my overall complexion. I just hated the part where they extracted blemishes. That HURT.
Reply:I had microdermabrasion done after a skin graft and it did result in a smoother, but not perfect, appearance. It was done by the surgeon that did the skin graft.
As far as your result, I think it depends on the level of microdermabrasion that is being done. Have a plastic surgeon do it and you will likely get better results.
Reply:Yes, but I worked for the doctor, so I was able to do the treatments on myself at no charge. I did microderm two to four times a month, depending on how much time I had. I am 42 years old, and people always think I'm younger, based on the condition of my skin.
Having one or two treatments will make your skin feel smoother, but you really need to have frequent treatments to really get maximum benefits. This is usually too costly for most people.
Reply:Hello,
The secret with microderma is to have 6 to 10 treatments schedules 2 weeks apart. After a single session you will see almost no major changes (smoother skin, but the scars and pores will still be there).
Take care of yourself between sessions (SPF protection, nourishing creams) and after the full series you will notice improvements (for me, a few old acne scars were diminished - I can still see them if I look in one of those magnifying mirrors, pores were definitely made smaller and a few lines around the mouth disappear). I didn't think to make any photos of myself, and I know I should have, because changes are obvious.
As far as I know, microderma works on all superficial skin imperfections. Good luck.
