Will lemon juice work on African American skin.?

We were always told that we didn't have to use sunscreen, while that is true for cancers and wrinkles, now I am beginning to learn that from not putting on sunscreen we are prone to more hyperpigmentation and discoloration. I am seeing alot about lemon juice will that help fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation from scars along with the use of sunscreen.

Girl yes! Lemon juice does help to fade discolorations on the skin but I use African Black Soap by (Dudu Osun). This soap has lemon juice in it, Lime Juice, Shea Butter, Coco pod ashes and Palm fruit oil which are all excellent for our skin. It will help fade any dark spots you have. Also, this soap heals acne as well. I use it on face and body and my skin is flawless but it has not always been that way. I had suffered from post acne marks so I started using this soap and now all the dark marks are gone. Also, I use Shea butter to moisturize. Use the "unrefined" Shea butter though because it has wonderful healing properties for our skin like removing dark spots, skin rashes, skin infections, good for the hair and will give you a sexy natural glow. Using the "refined" Shea butter is not good because all of its healing properties are removed with chemicals. Like Hexane.....

Reply:regardless of skin color and race, we all need sunscreen, although of different spf factors depending on circumstances.. sun damage does not spare anybody..

Reply:Whatever race you are, skin care is very important. Lemon oils is very good for skin care. It has antibacterial properties, and can keep skin smoother and whiter as well.
