Lump on back?

i have a 2cm by 2 cm lump on my back, its under the skin, smooth, doesnt hurt to touch, hard, and has no discoloration, and i was wondering if it could be cancer or somthing. Also, yes i am going to a doctor. But any1 know what it could be beforehand

Lump on back?
The most common misconception within the young adult age group is that a 'lump' is nothing to be concerned about . . because you feel good and you cannot imagine that cancer has no symptoms. No one here can tell you whether this is a malignant or benign tumor . . but anything that is 2cm should definitely be checked by a doctor.

The lump could also be a Sebaceous cyst which is a little hair follicle sac that has stretched out and is filled with a cheesy like gunk. It is very similar to a pimple only much larger. These can cause problems when they become infected, so you should keep a close watch on it. These types of cysts are found on the face, neck, and trunk and are generally painless and can be pushed around. But since no one here can see what this is than you need a physical examination to rule out cancer. If the doctor is at all suspicious he may take a biopsy of the lump or just completely remove it.

Best of luck.
Reply:Sounds dangerous, you should cut it out immediately.
Reply:yeah that doesn't sound good.

i've got something similar, i've had it for 2 and a half yeras now, its a lump that feels like a big zit on my back and when i have a look in the mirror its a purpley/black colour and its getting bigger every year but the thing its not a circle its more like a blotch, maybe i shoud see a doctor, i haope you're ok and that what you have isn't cancer because i may have melanoma - damn beach.
Reply:It is probably nothing but if it is something it could be cancer. You need to see a doctor immediately. My nephew had a melanoma on his shoulder in his 20's.

Like I said, it is probably nothing. But if you wait and it is cancer, it could be too late. What are you waiting for, go see a doctor!
Reply:Its probably nothing, probably just a knot on your back
Reply:You might have already been to the doc but...I have similar bumps and the dermotologist tells me they are totally B9. The name escapes me and the name is unusual. he says they are a skin reaction to a bug bite. I have had a few since my 20s. I have had several removed...always B9.

Concealer Help pls!!!!?

so i need to get concealer for a couple of things.

*dark (purplish) undereye circles

*my rosecea on my cheeks(i never get to wear any blush!!!)

*some discoloration i have that cause me to get dark skin in a certain area. (or should i lighten that area?)

Concealer Help pls!!!!?
For the dark undereye circles you need to apply a hydrating cream first, then a light pink colored concealer to bring a highlight to your undereyes and minimize the purplish color. Then cover that with mineral powder or foundation.

For the Rosecea you will need to see a dermotologist. To get great coverage without looking like you have a ton of makeup on use a mineral powder (like physians formula) it can be purchased just about anywhere.

For the skin discoloration you need to use a toner on your face daily to try to even your skintone.
Reply:almay exact shade make-up
Reply:I reccomend MAC makeup. They're makeup won't clog your pores and it is great to conceal also! MAC is like stage makeup, you will look good on stage and in pictures and of course in person! But dont pack it on. Everyone looks more beautiful natural! Good luck!
Reply:u should try mac concealer it will cover anything,it covers my horribly bad undereye circles and my acne scars
Reply:I love Almay concealer for my under-eyes. Just make sure you use a small makeup brush and dab at it to blend.

For the rest of my face, Bare Minerals is awesome. It evens skin tones and is so good for your skin, I swear by it. (It is expensive but it LASTS a LONG time...It has taken me nearly a year to go through a container of foundation!!)
Reply:for the under eye circles, use Neutrogena 3 in 1 Under Eye Concealer, and for the discoloration and rosecea use Almay Nearly Naked Cover Up Stick. good luck!

Uneven pigment - photo facial? peel? Glycolic acid? What to do?

I have always had great skin, though in the last few years I have noticed some discoloration (darker areas/some red areas), and fine lines. I assume the discoloration is from sun damage. I am 38 and have very fair skin with olive undertones. Is there anything I can buy and use at home that will make a difference? I know that a photo-facial or peel would help, but I don't have the funds right now for that. What is my best low cost option? Anything tried and true? Thanks.

Uneven pigment - photo facial? peel? Glycolic acid? What to do?
You can contact your local Mary Kay lady and ask to try the Even Complexion Essence. TimeWise® Even Complexion Essence is clinically shown to restore skin's natural, even tone by helping reduce visible dark spots and reverse skin discoloration. And when added to a comprehensive age-fighting program like TimeWise® skin care, this concentrated serum can help every woman – from ivory to beige to bronze skin tones – see a more even complexion. You'll see results in as little as four weeks. And with continuous use, the powerful results get even better.

84% of panelists experienced a more even skin tone.
Reply:Glycolic peel!!! NOOOOO!!! After you do this you will probably want to go back and continue doing this because of the effects this peel will give you. Yes, the results will be like having baby skin again, since they literally take the upper layer of your skin and a new one is born. After that, you'll run back like crazy to get another, and another, and so on. UNTILL INSTEAD OF DISCOLORATION REAPEARS, YOU WILL NOTICE BROKEN CAPILLARIES. Have you heard of turmeric and lemon? I recently had hyperpigmentation after my last pregnancy (my baby is now 5 mo.), and I've been washing my face w/Juice Organics brightening cleanser $10. I also use Origins Gentle Microdermabrasion 4oz $36, and I also rub a little lemon mixed w/a pinch of turmeric and find this working. I have not had any harsh reactions at all and I get very nice comments on my skin by other moms who say it took them longer to get rid of all the skin problems they had associated with they're pregnancies.

Had sexual contact 2 weeks ago, now have developed strange symptoms, scared it may be HIV?

I'm a 24 yr old young man, 2 weeks ago I had protected sex (latex condom) with a girl. This was my first and only vaginal sex encounter so far.

A few days after our encounter I noticed discoloration on the head of my penis, also the skin on the head of my penis looks a little wrinkly.

A couple of days after that I developed 4-5 small bumps on my penis where the shaft %26amp; head meet on the bottom of my penis that irritate a little.

I have come to terms with the fact that I probably have herpes, but then last night I notice I felt pressure on my throat (nothing painful) %26amp; it's hard to swallow, %26amp; this afternoon while in the shower the left side of my neck got tense, %26amp; I think the lymph node on that side may be swollen.

After doing some research I noticed the last 2 condtions were common with people who have contracted HIV.

I dont know if I am overracting, but for the past couple of days I have been terrified %26amp; I cant sleep :(

Had sexual contact 2 weeks ago, now have developed strange symptoms, scared it may be HIV?
It could just be a bacterial infection. Dont panic until you have a real reason. You need to get tested to be safe. That simple. It is unusual to notice any sypmtoms of HIV so early...I think it has a longer incubation period...Im not sure. Just go get tested...the county health clinic is free and discreet.
Reply:Go to the doctor. AIDS takes years to develop, it starts as HIV which is relatively symptom free and can go undiscovered for years so it unlikely to be this. Get it checked out by a doctor.

Could be your allegeric to latex and also you have some paranoia about sex
Reply:HIV takes months to show up , you have something else , maybe herpies.
Reply:This doesn't sound like HIV infection, which is extremely unlikely if you used a condom.

There could be a number of reasons for irritating bumps on your penis: they could be herpes, but that usually shows up as ulcers that are very tender. Another possibility is scabies, or they could just be common pimples. The only way to find out is to let your doctor look at them.

The pressure on your throat sounds like a symptom people often get when they are very anxious. I'd suggest it might be a good idea to talk to someone face to face about what you're anxious about, which is probably another good reason to sit down with your doctor.
Reply:You probably don't have AIDS, but if you keep screwing around you will end up getting it.
Reply:Definitely not hiv!! And you can take that to the bank!
Reply:First off you should go to the ER if your having problems with your airway!!! you could have Syphilis, because you kinda sound like you do....here some info on that....

In the first (primary) stage, about 10 days to six weeks after exposure: a painless sore (chancre) or many sores that will heal on their own. If not treated, infection spreads to the next stage. Secondary stage: skin rash that usually does not itch and clears on its own. Fever, swollen lymph glands, sore throat, patchy hair loss, headaches, weight loss, muscle aches, and tiredness. Latent (hidden) stage: symptoms disappear, but infection remains in body and can damage the brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, bones, and joints. Late stage: not able to coordinate muscle movements, paralysis, numbness, gradual blindness, dementia, and possibly death. CAN BE COMPLETELY CURED, but can be caught again, especially if both sex partners aren't treated.

TAKE MY WORD FOR IT%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;GO TO THE HOSPITAL TONIGHT!!

NOTE: HIV can take up to 10 years or more to have symptoms!
Reply:go get tested u idiot!
Reply:Get tested for any STD you can, but HIV may not show up for six months. It's also incredibly rare for a person to get HIV and have symptoms show up within two weeks. I'm just advising you to get tested for your own piece of mind. Having sex one time with a condom is possible - but unlikely - to lead to you getting an STD.

As for the throat/lymph nodes - it's WINTER. Half the people I know have similar symptoms. It's most likely one of the viruses that's getting passed around. The only way I can think that it MAY be STD related is if you to have a disease and your immune system isn't at its best. Again, highly unlikely, and you've probably just got a cold or flu bug, but by all means get tested so you can sleep at night.

Take it up a notch too - you're 24 and you've slept with one girl. I assume she's rather special to you. Talk to her openly about your concerns; find out her sexual history; ask her to get tested too.
Reply:WOW MAN

I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS BUT YOUR GONA DIE!

SORRY

SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE!
Reply:i really dont know. but i think its just an infection. maybe the condom that you used. but maybe it can be STD. check some doctors.
Reply:If you noticed symptoms after just a few days then you probably just had some type of reaction with the latex condom, especially if it was your first time using one. Most STD's won't show signs or symptoms right away or even after a couple days or weeks. I wouldn't worry, but if you are, just go see a dr.
Reply:I am not sure what you mean that this is your first vaginal sex, I assume that either that this the first time you had sex or you had anal sex before ( which you should never have, due to the fact of the feces and baceria that leaves in there). It sound that with discoloration of the penis and having bumps in your penis that you have HERPES. Sometimes HIV testing does not show that you have HIV/AIDS because the virus is what we call in medical field INACTIVE, but it can be active anytime especially if you get sick like a cold, fevers, sore throats because your immune system weakens and even though it releases white blood cell to fight infection sometimes that is not enough and antibiotics are required. It sounds more like HERPES, but I still say you should see a doctor. Don't be ashamed. I work in a clinic and we have people all the time who come in for STD testing. Is this the first time you used a condom? I have heard some people that they have an allergy to latexx, even though condoms are made to be hypoallergic.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
Reply:The only way to determine for sure whether you have HIV/AIDS is to be tested for HIV infection. You cannot rely on symptoms to know whether or not you are infected with HIV. Many people who are infected with HIV do not have any symptoms at all for many years. But for those who do, what are the symptoms of HIV? First...three things to keep in mind.

Important Fact #1

No one should assume they are infected if they have any of these symptoms. Each of these symptoms can be related to other illnesses.

Important Fact #2

The only way to determine whether you are infected is to be tested for HIV infection.

Important Fact #3

You cannot rely on symptoms to establish that a person has AIDS. The symptoms of AIDS are similar to the symptoms of many other illnesses. AIDS is a medical diagnosis made by a doctor based on specific criteria established by the CDC.

The Symptoms of HIV Infection:

•rapid weight loss

•dry cough

•recurring fever or profuse night sweats

•profound and unexplained fatigue

•swollen lymph glands in the armpits, groin, or neck

(lymphadenopathy)

• diarrhea that lasts for more than a week

• white spots or unusual blemishes on the tongue, in the

mouth, or in the throat (thrush)

• pneumonia

•red, brown, pink, or purplish blotches on or under the

skin or inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids (Kaposi

Sarcoma)

•memory loss, depression, and other neurological

disorders

So you should relax! And if you have been at risk, wait 2-3 months before getting an HIV test.

That's My Best answer! Hope it can help!
Reply:1. In truth, the chances of you getting HIV from unprotected vaginal sex is very, very low ... even if the woman you're having intercourse with is infected (Less than 1 in 1,000). Still, you should always use protection.

2. The early symptoms of HIV are also the symptoms for about 30 other inflictions -- including the common cold. However, if you're really worried, you should go get yourself tested just so you can sleep easier at night.

Is this athlete's foot or some other infection?

The skin near the toes and sole of the foot seem tender with a localized, whitish discoloration as if some fluid is building under the skin, socks leave a smelly, yellowish residue near the toe area if they were worn for a long amount of time

Is this athlete's foot or some other infection?
Definitely athlete's foot or some other fungus. It's very common if you wear shoes most of the time, are in humid conditions, don't change your socks every day or if you exercise a lot. The fungus can also be picked up on gym shower floors, which is why shower shoes are always a good idea.

To cure this, you can get some spray Lotramin which you can spray into your shoes every day or two to kill the fungus. Wash your socks with hot water and detergent and change them frequently. You will also need to apply medication directly to your feet once or twice a day until it is completely gone. Usually a cream with 1% Econazole Nitrate works well.

If untreated, athlete's foot can become serious. The skin can crack and bleed, becoming very painful and you can even develop infections.

Let your feet air out as much as possible, buy some sandals or other open shoes for leisure time. You'll be fine...
Reply:fungul infection.
Reply:sounds like a fungal infection. You should go see a doctor before it gets any worse, or spreads.
Reply:Yes, sounds like it. Get an anti-fungal cream for it, and go see your dr!
Reply:DOES IT ITCH? If Yes...then its athletes foot or some fungal infection...you should keep your feet dry at all times. There are anti fungal foot powder available in the drugstores...there are also ointments and creams (Lamisil is one of them) that you could apply to the insides of your toes and leave them there overnight. Avoid using damp socks...use only a pair of thoroughly DRY socks and shoes. That's the only way to make it go away. You may want to see a doctor for a prescription medicine to be taken internally to help you heal faster (Nizoral tab is one of them). Take proper care of yourself.

Makeup Ideas(red hair, blue eyes)?

There's someone I need to impress, and I need makeup ideas! I have pretty vivid(natural) red hair and blue eyes, and VERY pale skin, with light freckles. I also have some fading discoloration left over from acne that I'd like to cover up somehow.. But yeah, anything you think would look nice is hugely appreciated!

I have limited time, though, so I can't buy any specific products. Give a girl a hand! :)

Makeup Ideas(red hair, blue eyes)?
You sound super pretty! My advice is you probably can't pull off alot of pink i would try maybe colours like a soft gold or darker smokey eyes which is really in right now then for lipstick and blush etc. i would use a light soft colour for both just so it's not to overpowering than make your feature your eyes than i wouldn't wear alot over cover up or concealer it's super noticeable if you have freckles and why would you wanna cover them up anyways?
Reply:You have the what I'd like to call "to-die-for" features!~

I'd say that whoever it is, they wouldn't want you looking cakey.

So either go for a smokey or natural look. Don't try vibrant colors, which don't sound very formal for your case, anyhow.

Why don't you go for glowy natural look?

Use a rosy-colored blush, which should go well with your skin tone.

And if you are going to use eyeshadow, go for a mono-color look. Use a soft taupey brown color with a cream/beige color!

As for the scars, you definitely should use concealer.

Just use a sheer mineral veil, for foundation, which is the lightest coverage.

As a finishing touch, use a very neutral color, nude pink gloss.

:) hope that helped you!~
Reply:keep it simple foundation, liquid eyeliner, and some lip gloss
Reply:hey, im the same , pale, bright red curly hair that i cant do anything with and bright blue eyes, i dont even where make up just a little cover up here and there . acualy i stumbled apon this looking for a way to where make up that dosent make me look like im in a mask, i havent found anything yet. Toenail Problem, Need Help!!!?

All of a sudden my toenail on my big toe started to hurt. YEsturday it was a minor pain when I walked and today the whole area feels cold and it really hurts to put pressure on it. It isnt an ingrown toenail or anything. There is no damage to the nail or the skin on the other side of my foot. No discoloration, cracking, or anything visible like that. My toe can only be described as cold and painful. What could this problem be?? Anyone ever have this feeling?

Toenail Problem, Need Help!!!?
Sounds like nerve damage, better go to the doctor and get it check out.
Reply:Well email me if I am right, because I am betting that I am. No swelling, no injury, it has to be nerves. :)

Good luck Report It

Reply:Dirt accumulation in the folds and corbers.

Clean it with mild soap water and old tooth brush.

Wash it with Savlon or Detol or similar disinfectant.

Permamnent solution - surgery.

OMG, my face?

Today, i wore no foundation to cover up my acne. I looked in the mirror and felt horrible. I was walking around and i felt embarassed. I have little bumps under the surface and dark scars all over my face. I have discoloration around my nose and mouth because of a skin condition. I was with this lady and all she was saying was aww, you're starting to get acne too now. Why is your face dark by your nose and mouth? Why is your face like this? I felt horrible. It's bad enough that i have horrible acne. I mean nothing and i mean nothing is helping. I usually get whiteheads and they're not supposed to leave scars, but mine do. It's totally unfair. and i feel so bad and like i have no self-confidence. All these other people just get pimples or have PERFECT skin (serioiusly, i can tell). But no, not me, i get the pimples that aren't supposed to leave marks but do. My skin is so ugly and that's the way i feel. What should i do? I don't like hiding under a mask, but i feel like i have to. HELP!

OMG, my face?
thats okay,

what kind of foundation do you use?

i remcommend bare esstentials, or any other quality make up.

i suggest you to stay away from local drug store make-up.

i get an electric tooth brush, aloe and green tea bag ((open it and take out the powder stuff))

make sure the tooth bristle is SOFT.

get the aloe and put the jelloy stuff on the brush and dip it on the tea powder.

and in a gently circular motion massage it around the red spot, like the nose and the cheeks

[[[ this well help the red or the irratation]]

after, dry your skin with a towel.

get lemon juice and apply it on your face for 10 minutes ((it will sting))

this is help to fade scars.

do the electric tooth brush every OTHER day, do NOT do it EVERYDAY.

use proactive to work on forehead acne.
Reply:all i can say is seek profectional help
Reply:Try a dermatologist, that might help you, or even just a really good facial cleanser, ask someone who works where you go to get the cleanser what they think, they can help.
Reply:don't worry i have the same thing i get white heads and the always leave scars it really sucks none of my friends have this problem i don't no why we are so lucky... you had said used foundation did u try concealer it dosnt usually cover it completely but does make it less noticable but if u tried all drug stor brands u should probably go to a dermatoligest and get a perscription

good luck

and make sure u remember u are not alone
Reply:You could always talk to a doctor about prescription acne medications. And some people just get scars--I know that asians for some reason retain scars for much longer than a lot of other people. Something about the pigment in the skin. Just find a good makeup to cover the acne and the scars, and experiment with different face washes and acne products or try talking to a dermatologist about it. Your regular doctor (GP) can also prescribe acne medications, too.
Reply:you're probably overexaggerating, you shouldnt let what one lady said to you bother you.

my white heads and acne leaves scars too. but only cuz i pick on them sometimes (its a bad habit..)

if its bothering you that much then you should get a dermatologist or a facial at a salon

p.s. wearing coverup and makeup will clog your pores, so try not to wear it as much as possible
Reply:I am 14 and i have the same problem. I am guessing this is in your genes and i understand the frustration of nothing helping. I have been going to a dermatologist since i was young. I was started tetracycline and then dioxycycline and nothing worked. Then i was put on acutane and it finally worked! Go to your dermatologist and have them look at you good luck!
Reply:hardly anyone has perfect skin, trust me, but if you dont really like wearing makeup because the heaviness or because its just a hassle, i really suggest bare escentuals. it really covers everything up + it looks naturale.

Mark left by curling iron?

All:

There is a mark on my neck left by a curling iron 3 months ago. Is this a "scar" (the skin is not raised) or just a short-term discoloration? I've been slapping mederma, vitamin e, and cocoa butter on there daily, and there is a small sign of fading. Do yall suspect it will take a year to go away?

Mark left by curling iron?
A few months ago I burned my finger a little bit from a curling iron. I was worried becuase it didn't go away after a long time but it's gone now. I didn't put anything on it (I didn't have anything to put on it like cocoa butter or whatever).

Mine took about four months-ish to go away but it was a slight small burn so I guess it might depend on how sever your burn was.

Good luck!

Reply:I had a third degree burn on my left hand and I just kept putting Aloe Jel on it and now I have no scar!

Should I visit the doctor and should I do aerobics?

I'm a klutz. I admit it freely. I ran out of a room and managed to slam the back of my hand against the doorknob. I don't remembering screaming for a moment, I don't remember any sound coming from that impact of my hand and the doorknob but I do remember being on the ground on my knees, the hand between my legs and crying, head on the floor. Mom said she heard the sound of the accident outside the apartment, behind the door... ow.

So, there's some skin of (not much), no bleeding, bump and some discoloration and certain movements are painful, some are more painful and typing is a mild pain in the *** (read: discomfort with very mild pain when typing).

So, the question is: Should I visit the doctor and should I do aerobics?

I don't think anything is broken but...should I?

Should I visit the doctor and should I do aerobics?
If it's severely bruised go to the doctor. If you can't hold anything in your hand go to the doctor.

If however you can use it don't go to the doctor. They'll just tell you to rest it.

Don't do aerobics for a week or so. Even if it's just sprained or strained give it time to rest.

Lump on the back-top-center of my head.?

about 6 months ago i guess, i was scratching my head and notices a lump on the very center of the top-back region of my head. it isnt the bump that everyone has at the back of the head where the neck and skull meet, its higher up.

i didn't pay it any mind at the time, i thought that maybe it had always been there. but i couldnt really recall.

recently my uncle had something similar removed from his head at the front region and it ocurred to me that i might have the same thing. it was a benign cyst and it was simply a growth of some sort, nothing harmful.

im thinking that i have the same thing, but im just wondering if anyone else has or has had anything similar to this.

thanks

p.s.: there no pain or anything like that, no discoloration, scarring, etc. just a lump under my skin.

Lump on the back-top-center of my head.?
Go to a doctor to have a look. My daughter had a bump in the neck show up suddenly an we caught it early enough. It was Hodgkin's Lymphoma. she had a few rounds of Chemo and some radiation to get rid of it. But just to be sure it is nothing, see a doctor. Our family Dr had no Idea what it was and referred us to See an ear Nose and throat Dr before the week was done and asked us to let them know if we unable to get in, that was Monday. we saw the ENT Thursday and had a biopsy on the following Monday and she had surgery Before the week end. so get to the Dr as soon as possible as if it is a fast growing it could be more than a bump soon. Put your mind at ease.
Reply:it's an alien implant. That's how they keep track of where you are and where you've been.
Reply:Yes, it is likely a harmless sebaceous cyst. I've got one in the same place you describe. It is not necessary to have them removed unless they get infected.
Reply:99 % it's completely harmless. Those lumps on the scalp are really common, and you don't have to have it removed unless it grows. I've had one for years and I haven't even had it checked out (I'm scared of doctors). I thought it was cancer so I checked every medicine book and internet site and believe me, I'm now an expert on scalp lumps.

Don't worry!

Yellow nail fold?

Does anyone have a yellow discoloration at their nailfold? (the part of the skin under/around the nails near the cuticle) I noticed today that some of my nailfolds are yellow/fungus color but i dont think they are infected. They dont hurt and my nails are not yellow just the skin around it.

How can I improve the circulation in my feet?

I went to the Dermatologist last year because I had spots on my feet that were reddish brown. They were almost like freckles but I have an olive complexion. They were on my toes, sides of my feet, and a little on my ankles. The Doctor said they looked like a circulatory problem and maybe my socks or shoes were too tight. He said that when we wear too tight socks it causes the blood to gather under the skin and not flow evenly which causes the discoloration. I have tried calf and foot stretches, massage, and replaced all of my socks. I recently tried elevating my feet. I do need to increase my exercise. Any other suggestions? How long does it take before this will go away? It has been well over a year. I am starting to think the spots will never go away.

How can I improve the circulation in my feet?
Not exactly sure what the "spots" are but they may never go away. The biggest concern shouldn't be how they look but whether the circulation is still impaired.

Elevation, self-massage (slightly vigorous) or massage by a professional (highly recommended), heat, proper shoes with insoles (try the Good Feet stores if they have them in your area), changing positions often (especially if you sit or stand all day), and exercise (as simple as walking after dinner) will all help.

i want some that has REAL EFFECTS that shows in 1-4 months !!PLSPLS HELP!!!!!! thanks!

Has anyone tried RETIN A? if not, whats the best product to get rid of DARK SPOTS "inner thighs..etc"
I have used Retin A, it is only for the acne and to remove death skin.

If you dark spots on the knees are because of death skin you can apply it. If still no effect are happen.

Then use cleansing or whitening cream not lotion or spray etc. Only cream, why because cream used and rubbed again again on the area.

If still no effect try this one,

its a body bleach.

use one teaspoon of ammounium liquid

three teaspoons of hydrooxide liquid

and some crush daily use soap in the mixutre and apply the dark spot for 15 mins.

If you dont want to use bleach or cleansing cream or whitening cream,

use products which are for whitening skin.

like

1 :-Fair and lovely,

2:- Stillman,

3:- fair glow.

i hope any of this works

P.S use dove expliotation soap on these areas. IT remove death skin and whitens that area.

P.S dont apply bleach under legs and under arms

Acne spots?

I had pretty bad acne as a teen and now I am in my early 20s. I dont break out too much but my skin is reddish and looks like scars or discoloration and I am guessing its from the acne. When I touch my skin its soft and smooth but doesn't look clear. Anyone tried any products that have helped this? Or any procedures, like facials or peels or something? Thanks.

Acne spots?
this web page can help but ill just copy and paste it down for you. http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Acne

1. Stop popping the pimples and zits. This will only risk encouraging your acne to stay due to inflammation, irritation, and possibly infection. If a pimple comes up in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly.

2. Use a mild soap for sensitive skin. It can be designed for acne-prone skin or not, but you will want to treat your skin gently. You do not need harsh antibacterial soap, which can actually make your acne worse.

3. Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use a gentle scrub with natural exfoliants like ground walnut shells, or use an over-the-counter chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Cocoa butter with ground walnut shell works well, too(It is a face wash.). Remember that over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of acne by irritating the skin. Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause irritation to the fresh skin you've just revealed.

4. Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser and tightens pores. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol can also be used for severe oiliness, but it can really dry out your skin and irritate it more. Some toners are medicated, too, and this stage is the best for using a medicated product if you're only going to use one medication. Lemon juice is a good option, too.

5. Bacteria in pores is one cause of pimples. Reduce the amount of bacteria by using toners containing anti-bacterial agents like alcohol, peroxide and benzalkonium chloride, and by using creams that contain benzoyl peroxide, which kill bacteria as well as cause the skin to regenerate faster.

6. Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.

7. Understand that if all else fails, contact your GP. They may be able to prescribe specific mild antibiotics that can eliminate acne.

8. Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse(taking antibiotics when you really don't need them or for something they don't treat) and misuse(not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won't work for the things they used to; including your acne.

tips

* You may want to start a log outlining when you tend to get breakouts, or when they tend to improve to look for patterns that can help you treat the problems. Typical patterns include stress, and change in hormone levels (especially in women during the menstral cycle).

* Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications about one to two weeks and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin.

* You can also try Ciprofloxacin eye drops. Take 1/4 of a drop of the medicine on your finger (of course wash it) and apply it on acne or where it is prone to come. Don't put too much as puting too much has no benifit. Just a thin film will be enough. I works very well because ciprofloxacin is a wide spectrum antobiotic. Keep in mind Ciprofloxacin is a very powerful antibiotic used for serious infections. The widespread overuse and misuse(using for acne would defiantly fall into this category, as Cipro is used for serious infections like ANTHRAX) of antibiotics like cipro have led to the emergence of superbugs that are resistant to almost all of our most powerful antibiotics.

* See a dermatolagist if over the counter remedies do not work. They specialize in skin care and can prescribe you medicines that help you improve it.

* Don't stress out! Stressing out can only makes acne worse. Find ways to stay calm in your life.

* Drink plenty of water. Staying well hydrated can help your condition improve, because the "waste management" control system in your body requires a lot of water to do its job. Without enough water, the body has difficulty removing some waste products efficiently.

* Look for face washes which contain the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. This is the key ingredient in some of the best face washes. use a 5-10% benzoyl peroxide of mild to moderate acne and 10% for severe.

* Try smashing one tablet of asprin in a small bowl, then adding lemon juice to the mixture. Apply to the affected areas overnight. It boosts the healing process while reducing redness.

* Try putting toothpaste (paste, NOT gel) on your face, cover it with a bandage, and keep it on all night. When you wash it off in the morning your acne will look better. The astringent and surfactant nature of the toothpaste will help diminish the appearance of pimples. But the toothpaste has been known to burn sensitive skin of the face, so be careful. If your face does burn, stop acne treatments and work on healing your burn.

* Another way to zap pimples is shaving cream. Apply it to your pimple and it will dry it up. It disappears by morning, but wash your face after waking up.

* If nothing is working for you, drink four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted with water daily. It works very well for some people and is worth a try. Another good solution is aloe vera gel fresh from the plant, taken orally.

* You can also try taking a zinc tablet everyday.

* Phototherapy or blue-light therapy is an increasingly common form of treating facial or body acne. It uses light that interact with porphyrins in skin bacteria to reduce bacteria production and rectify acne. Many dermatologists use this form of treatment in a clinic setting, but it can be costly and time consuming. Health Canada recently approved a new product that has the same therapeutic effect, but it can be administered by the individual.

* Get plently of sleep! They don't call it "beauty-sleep" for nothing!

* dab garlic juice on emerging and mature pimples

* treat acne with benzoyl peroxide that are available in your local stores

* disguise a pimple with eye-redness relieve eye drops by applying to a Q-tip and hold on pimple for about 10-15 seconds.

* Mix a packet of fast acting yeast with enough tea tree oil to make a paste. Spread over emerging pimple and cover with bandage %26amp; leave on overnight because yeast will cause the pimples to rise out of the skin while the tea tree oil attacks it.

* Soak a cotton ball in warm salt water. Press on top of blemish for 3 minutes to dissolve the top. Then, dab a bit of honey on the affected area to deep clean the pore and draw out bacteria. Let it sit for 10 minutes

* Learn to live with acne: No one really wants acne, but it's hardly the worst skin ailment. It's likely you're the only person to notice. Learn how to use cover-ups such as tinted acne creams or makeup. Cover your forehead breakout with a breathable silk scarf.

byee hope i helped
Reply:chemical peels work pretty well. at first they made my face reddish but afterwards it looks good. also just moisturizing my fave helped make my skin look more even.
Reply:I helped mine clear up by lightly washing my skin with borax at night. It is a bit rough at first but now it is hard to tell I ever had acne.
Reply:I dunno if this will help any but i still suffer from body acne even as a adult...try a good sugar scrub to help refresh the skin if that doesn't work you my want to try one of those ointment's that reduce the appearance of scars..they have worked a little on a few of my scars.

****foundation question***?

which one doesn't irritate your skin, is oil free, is not liquid, and does not age your skin? i do not have acne or real discoloration or anything. i just want to even it out. oh and won't give me break outs or anything. the healthiest and most non-irritative. blah blah blah sorry about that. thanks!

****foundation question***?
Everyday Mineral hands down! It has only 4 inert ingredients and none of them are chemicals like Bare Essentials! It is only $8-$12 for foundations and blushes/bronzers are around $4. Everything is all natural. That's what I use. Also, as a bonus, you can order a free 5 pc. trial kit. It says it's only for a few uses but they put so much of the sample in the container it should last awhile!
Reply:I'm thinking loose powder might work like BARE MINERAL or BARE ESCENTUALS. i find powder to be the best and most natural looking. and most are healthier. you can even try the NUTROGENA ones from your local drugstore... although i don't really like the brush attached to it because it's a little irritating, so i use a diff. softer brush and just tap out the powder onto it. but yes, powder foundations!
Reply:MAC foundations are very reliable! you can also find other cool make up in Sephora. These make up are also designed to protect the skin. Here are some foundations:

Reply:Estee Lauder
Reply:I say Bare Minerals, I love it. And I have very sensitive skin. It is one of the few things that don't make me break out. These are the websites I shop from. You can check out bare esscentuals and sephora websites to see if there are stores in your area.

Other cosmetics have powdered formulas but they are not as good.

Only bare minerals has the the mineral veil which makes the application look flawless. You can use just the foundation. You can use the foundation and mineral veil. You can use just the mineral veil or you can use any of these combinations, and add any of their other face colors, to add depth to the look. Its so easy, you have so many options, and its almost goof proof.

Reply:Id say use neutrgena powder foundation.

to keep any foundation from being irritating, or aging your skin, dab a bit of Nevea cream onto your face and spread it evenly before you use any foundation.
Reply:Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
Reply:Sheer Minerals %26amp; Bare minerals..either one is good %26amp; sounds like what your looking for =)
Reply:I have been using a pure natural mineral makeup called kms mineral essentials. It is oil free, allergy free, pretty much what you are looking for I think. Because mineral powder lays over the skin and doesn't settle into lines it gives you a youthful look too!
Reply:I'd recommend mineral makeup. But they are not all the same. Many have bismuth oxychloride in them (bare minerals %26amp; sheer cover), makes a lot of ppl itch and react. Many contain talc, although a mineral, clogs pores bad. Most drug store varieties have tons of chemicals.

My holy grail in the mineral makeup world is LA Minerals. I really love their stuff. Great coverage, feels like you are wearing nothin. Great price. And bunches of shades to choose from.

Oh...I just ordered some eyeshadow and they sent me a coupon code for 10% off. If you order at least $25 worth you can use it too! Says to enter the words "TenOff" in the coupon codes section during checkout.

Oh and they have samples too for like $1 and ship them free. I tried a buncha foundations and eyeshadows and blush/bronzers before I ordered. That was fun!!

Hope that helps you some! http://www.laminerals.com

Beauty..Girls only help??

Is there a mascara that will make my

eyelashes super longer.. or will make

my eyelashes grow longer?

Is there a cream or sumthen that will blend my skin

color in? My skin is Bronze but golden or beige spots/discoloration messes it up.

Beauty..Girls only help??
yeah, i agree, define-a-lash by maybelline is good, but for the best results, put on Diorshow mascara first, and then apply define-a-lash. the results are AMAZINGGGGGG. also, i know there's a different kind of diorshow mascara that is meant to lengthen, and i've heard good things about that, especially when used with the regular diorshow mascara.

also, you might want to look into mascaras that have bristles like the define-a-lash, cuz those are made to help lengthen and not clump.

in terms of the cream, you might want to look at www.sephora.com cuz they always have good stuff, and i remember seeing a product that did what you are asking for, but i forgot what it was. try surfing over there.
Reply:for the lotion try breathe delight from bath %26amp; body works or body glow from walgreens
Reply:the covergirls work really well because they dont clump.

uhm all mascaras make your eyelashes long just not 'super'long try a lengthinzing one or a voluming one
Reply:Buy the L'Orealy Voluminous mascarra. It makes your lashes look longer and thicker without that clump.

And for your skin... I don't know... but you should check the L'orealy skin products/concelears or foundations.

I like there brand a lot.
Reply:I know of the new mascara that i absolutely luv!!!

It's called define-a-lash mascara from Maybeline.

It's in a green tube and it doesn't have a fur/hair brush, but the brussels are like short and rubbery. The body of it kinda looks like a catapillar! LOL! Not to scare you or anything, but this make my lashes super-super-super long and it stays in FOREVER! with out black circles around the eyes.

Sorry, I don't know about the skin creme.
Reply:Define-a-lash by maybelline is the best, I have only heard good reviews on it.

As for a cream for your skin... I would go to a good cosmetologist who can actually see your skin and reccomend a good product.
Reply:dont be wrong be nic eand other people are not nice too you u look them sright in the eye and say dont like black live out my face bad person
Reply:for your skin try using vaseline cocoa butter

for your eyelashes at night apply the jelly kind of vaseline and for the day use defien a lash by maybelline

Toe Corns Gone But.....?

I got rid of the corns but I am left with a discoloration, that is much lighter than my skin color. I am Black and even though the corn is gone , I still have that corn look that it is still there. How can I faded it and have a normal looking toe?

Most Kindest Regards-

Vicky

Toe Corns Gone But.....?
well hun, i am in the same situation. I really feel your pain. It's summer and i can't even wear the cute sandals i like. i always wear closed shoes. my corns are gone but the discoloration is horrible and being black, u know how it is. so anyway i apply Foundation on it every time i wear open shoes and a little eye liner which matches my color. it's a great cover up, but then u can't swim or do anything that might rub it off. be sure to carry the eye liner and foundation everywhere you go so that you can put it on again if it fades. If u find a remedy to our problem please email me but as of now just put make - up over it.

I'm not sure what type of acne I have. What do I have?

My skin has tiny little pimples, I think I may also have discoloration/scars left behind from pimples, my skin looks rough in some areas, I have pores that show as well( but it may be hairs growing out of my face? i think. :/ )

I need to know any home remedies that aren't to complicated, ones that'll I can actually buy that don't cost to much.

Or any good skin products that I can actually buy at stores, not online or some special pharmacy or whatever.

I need this ASAP. School starts in 2 weeks.

What treatments I'm using on my face now:

1.Lemon juice with face mask

2.Face pads

3.Toothpaste (sometimes)

%26amp; I do drinks lots of water!

I'm not sure what type of acne I have. What do I have?
try using a line of products that have salicylic acid 2% in it, it's an acne mecidation use it twice a day. Mask once a week.

Noxzema has a new acne line out it's inexpensive
Reply:Try Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, I use this as a spotter or a mask, Neutorgena Replenisher Pore, uncoated aspirin from the dollar store and make a paste while taking a shower do a gentle scrub or baking soda as a paste or mask.
Reply:aloe plants the real one and take naps !!!! i think it helped me alot and u can also buy acan kits they sell them @ walmart 4 like 20 dollars there is like 3 of them in the kit is kinda like proactive
Reply:STOP the toothpaste!!!

i used it and it killed my face

the parts with the pimples on my face basically started to flake and some even burned.. it basically burned my skin

stop it while its not too late.

please

for your own good.

2 questions.... please answer!?

i hv these white goose-bumps like spots on my arms and legs, i reacently got tanned and now these are REALLY noticable. what are they and how do i get rid of them?

the corners of my mouth are darker than the rest of the skin on my face, its like a discoloration....? how can i get lighten the skin?

2 questions.... please answer!?
It sounds like chicken skin. You can't get rid of them, but you could go to the dermatologist and ask them about it. Imagine that...asking a doctor about a skin issue rather than some stranger on Yahoo.

If your darker there then get some skin (not hair) bleaching cream at the drugstore and apply it to the area per the directions on the box. Ask the pharmacist for help.
Reply:you get them when you were borned.. everyone haz that ignore it... even i have that but only on my arms

go to costco and get olay lotion
Reply:I have these spots you speak of on my arms as well and the only time they have gone away (and then returned) is when I was on Accutain for my face and while I was pregnant? Sorry I can't really help you out other than you will get rid of them for a limited amount of time while you're pregnant.
Reply:Sorry I can't help with the bumps, but I know lemon juice helps lighten up dark skin. Sounds crazy, I know, but just rub half a lemon on the darker part of your lips for a few minutes. It won't work immediately and I'm told it takes a good amount of time, but I hear it works great once you give it a while.

I have a billion freckles and the same coloration on my lips you have, and although I haven't tried the lemon juice yet, it's high up on my To Do List!
Reply:to get an even skin tone you have to use the right products...Exfoliation helps, htis problem plus use a banishing cream.....Avon has a product you can you...

the white spot is called lota.... go to the drug store and let them give u a medication for it.
Reply:When I used to tan after 12(noon) i got those. They're just like blisters but if u sweat they'll break open and you'll start peeling so take it easy...aka don't work to hard to sweat. If you take it easy they'll go away. Next time you want to tan, go outside (either on a towel or on your baloney if it's not covered %26amp; go if its about 16-27 degress C) from 8 to 12. It might take longer to tan but the tan stays longer and you won't get those white things. I would suggest using a low SPF sunscreen and after you're finished tanning but on a moisturizing lotion. If you tan between the times that I suggested you won't get the white spots because you don't burn your skin. About the corners of your mouth but but moisturizing lotion on and wait. Last summer when I used to tan from 12 on I got tanned of with my sunglasses. I put on cream and after a week or so the tan spread and it looked even. Hope I helped!!!!

I burnt my hand 2 weeks ago. and its still brown??

well i burnt my hand nothing serious....first degree...size of a dime... and the skin peeled off...and now its healed and the new skin is brown....is that a scar/discoloration...what can i do to lighten it?

I burnt my hand 2 weeks ago. and its still brown??
about a year or two ago I burnt my wrist on the oven. I used burn cream until it healed ... it's still brown to this day. people tell me if i keep using the burn cream that it will lighten up... I don't worry about it though.
Reply:i burned my whole arm like 6 months ago, and there is a huge burn scar, and this black lady I work with said that I could buy this skin bleaching cream and it would have the Michale Jackson effect, i just thought it looked cool so I don't care.

Do i have toe fungus or something else?

my toe has signs of fungus, discoloration of nail, callus, flaking of skin, but i also feel the toe joint to be weaker and the toe in general to feel slightly numb, i have no idea what it could be, fungus? ulcers? i dont know, help would be appreciated

Do i have toe fungus or something else?
eww
Reply:Your toes just whispered...

theres a fungus among us
Reply:That is an odd one to me. I would definitely go to the drs, especially with the toe joint feeling weeker, and the numbing, sounds like circulation is not well. Do you have diabetes?
Reply:Maybe you stubbed it on something. If it was a toe fungus it would be between your toes. If it was a nail fungus it would first show up looking like dark splinters under the nail.
Reply:Sounds like you have some type of bacteria infection, defintely fungi (yeast, mold related) in your toe/toes. You need to see a podiatrist immediately...especially since you are feeling a weakness, loss of sensation in your one toe. Good luck.

PS---Why did you let it get this far before wondering what it was? Never be afraid to find out what's really going on with your health.
Reply:sounds a little like gout. you can have the doc check your uric acid level to know for sure. watch what you eat, no red meat, tomatoes, alcohol, for a couple days to see if its better. goodluck.
Reply:You should go see a Podiatrist because it can be dangerous. If it is an infection and you don't treat it soon , then you are risking them cutting your toe.

Especially if you have a weak immune system. Diabetic

You may have a nail fungal infection — also called onychomycosis (on-i-ko-mi-KO-sis) — if one or more of your nails are:

Thickened

Brittle, crumbly or ragged

Distorted in shape

Dull, with no luster or shine

A dark color, caused by debris building up under your nail

Infected nails may also separate from the nail bed, a condition called onycholysis. You may even feel pain in your toes or fingertips and detect a slightly foul odor.

Lump on my foot. I got a bruise on my foot from dropping a computer keyboard on it. I didn't have any?

shoes on. It hit my foot just under my big toe. It bruised for a few days and then I forgot about it and today a month later I noticed a lump there. Is that still the bruise or did I break anything. There is no discoloration just feel a lump under skin and the lump does not move. I am going to see my md doctor next week if it does not go away.

Lump on my foot. I got a bruise on my foot from dropping a computer keyboard on it. I didn't have any?
It's good that you are going to see you doc. It's entirely possible that you will find out that it is simply scar tissue from the injury. Even if it was fractured, unless the site is causing you discomfort, most likely the doc will just let it be.
Reply:It could be a popped blood vessel, but if it were it would be painful and should have gone away by now.

I really can't tell you what else it could be, your best bet is to just go see your doctor.

Good luck - Corbyn

Pelvic Peeling?

I noticed red spots forming on my hips covered by thin layer of dead skin. If I scratch the dead skin off, the skin under turns red but isn't sore. It looks sort of like a hickey just smaller...If I carefully peel the dead skin off with tweezers, there is no discoloration. I'm gonna go see a dermatologist soon but wanted an idea as to what it might be. It doesnt itch or hurt at all. It's just kind of gross to think that my pelvis and hips are peeling...and in spots that eventually connect no less. Any ideas? I'm not sexually active nor have I had any other problems of such in the past.

Pelvic Peeling?
Maybe ingrown hairs
Reply:it might be a reaction to something that you are eating
Reply:Maybe pityriasis rosea - Your derm will be able to verify this but I have the exact same thing happening to me on my right flank above the hip bone at the level of the bellybutton. And it's spreading in a Christmas tree type pattern - doesn't itch but is scaly and red. Here is what I found:

Also there is usually another spot on your body that looks like it called a "herald" sign. Mine is on my left lower leg.

Hope this helps!

Eating vegatibles?

does eating vegtibles get rid of discoloration, thats what my friend told me, cuz i have discoloration where its like my normal skin color but then i have lighter skin circles

Eating vegatibles?
Eating vegtables is good for you, but I doubt that it does anything with coloring unless you eat excessive amouts of carrots.

Anything i can find over the counter for acne scars?

my skin seems to have scars and discoloration from acne. i heard cocoa butter works, but that will just make me break out more. anything else i can try that wount make me get acne?

Anything i can find over the counter for acne scars?
Bio oil, or vitamin e oil works.

Its good for the skin,
Reply:I suffered from severe acne and two things helped me.

Nothing over the counter worked for me.

1. Had dermabrasion treatments - done by a cosmetic surgeon, not a beautician.

2. Moved to a sunnier climate. If this isn't feasible, try the tanning booth.

I am no longer ashamed of my scars on my face, and can actually go out without foundation on. This would not have been possible in the past.
Reply:tea tree oil.....
Reply:Bio oil definatley. Not just acne but it works well on any scars. In time your scars will fade anyway, try not to pick spots and they may not scar so bad. If they annoy you that bad just cover them up with a good concealer. Things that are oily like bio-oil and coaca butter as they are used to create moisture could cause you to outbreaks more becuase of the oil. Witch hazel will help with your actual acne, not too much with the scarring. good luck x
Reply:You could try Mederma.
Reply:Try using ST IVES APRICOT SCRUB for oily, acne prone skin,blackheads/blemishes this is a great deep cleaning exfoliator that gets down under the skin it will definetley help prevent future breakouts great for pores and blackheads ive had major problems with acne for almost 7 years and i have tried everything (no exaggeration) and st ives has by far worked the best for me and its only $3 cant beat that my skin has never behaved so well!!! lol Exfoliation is great for removing dead skin cells which will remove red marks and acne scars

Which foundation is best?

I have combination skin with a little bit of discoloration (frekles and blotches, circles under the eyes, etc). I don't like to look too heavily made-up, but I do like good coverage. What foundations do you suggest?

Which foundation is best?
I don't know where you live, but I swear by MAC makeup, and if you can you should try it too. The next time you're at the mall, so into the store and tell them what you want. They'll try the foundations on until you get the look you want. You don't even have to buy anything right away... you can keep the makeup on and see if you like it and then go back to buy it. I really like their concealer and their studio fix liquid foundation.

It provides good coverage without feeling like pancake makeup!
Reply:I would go with a mineral loose powder foundation, doesn't look heavy at all.....and its good for your skin! Bare minerals was the first but I think all the drug stores carry them now. I think Maybeline and Loreal are the latest ones to hit the market.
Reply:clinique is awesome and they have really good foundation for combination skin.
Reply:Mineral foundation in the correct shade for your skintone. Applied correctly, It will give you beautiful coverage and be very weightless and look natural.

MMU takes a little getting used to. You have to practice with it to get the right technique. But once you do, it is fantastic stuff. :)
Reply:Hey, any good brand foundation will do but it should

be liquid form, not paste.

apply mixing on your palm with your moisturizer.

then gently apply not only on your face also on the neck.
Reply:If you would like an affordable option, I can't say enough about Loreal True Match foundation. I also hate pancake foundation - it feels awful. Several years ago, when I was just trying whatever came along and had tons of different bottles of foundation, I found out that I liked Loreal best. Their foundation was, by far, the lightest. A few years ago they came out with True Match, and I really found the perfect match for my skin. I don't think you have to spend a fortune on make-up to look and feel good, so I get most products (except for my skin, in which case I use Clinque or things from the salon) from the drugstore.

Note: One of the most important things about foundation is putting it on and taking it off. At your local drugstore, buy a pack of application sponges. Put some moisturizer on your face first. Tip the foundation bottle with your finger against the top, and see how much make-up is on your fingertip. Put a dot on your forehead, one on each cheek, and spread the last glob between your chin and nose. Spread over skin, and then use the sponge to remove access and smooth into your hairline and jawline.

I use Ponds of Neutragena cleansing and make-up remover clothes in the evening to take all of my make-up off before I go into skin care. It's the easiest, most gentle and thorough way to make sure that all of the make-up is gone.
Reply:MAC OR MARY KATE OR LORIALE
Reply:my mom uses bare minerals and she has feckles amd uneven skin tone.
Reply:Just do what Eriiibearii says. She is extraordinarily intelligent.
Reply:Bare Minerals - it feels like you're not wearing make up, looks natural and doesnt have that disgusting cakey feeling %26amp; look. it also wont clog up your pores and it is SPF 15. The price isnt bad and if you fall asleep with it on, you have nothing to worry about , you wont wake up with break outs and surprises on your face.

(Male) pea sized chest bump, middle of chest (not over fleshy part)?

I have a colorless pea (very slightly smaller) sized bump in the middle of my chest and another smaller than that sized bump (half that size) an inch away. I'm slender and these bumps are in that middle chest rib bone area not the fleshy part of the chest. The bumps are colorless and under the skin, no itching, no pain to the touch. You can't see them they are not raised but you can feel them. I had one of these bumps for a long time maybe a year, it seemed to be slightly smaller at that time.

From what I know they don't correspond to the symptoms of male breast cancer which seems to be bumps or swelling over the fleshy part of the chest, one side or the other, usually involving the nipple. They don't seem seem to correspond to skin cancer because that usually involves discoloration.

What could they be?

(Male) pea sized chest bump, middle of chest (not over fleshy part)?
Men CAN get breast cancer--seriously...There was a show about it on HBO. Men can get cancer in the chest tissues; however those lumps can be a number of things, not just cancer. You need to get checked out by a doctor.
Reply:Get them checked out.

It could be anything and without a look no one could safely tell you what they are.

Just because something is more common in one area doesnt mean it isnt possible.

Good luck and be completely honest to your doc he or she is the one that will help you.

Swelling, soreness and then discolouration?

Help!. My legs and ankles swell up. When I rub the affected area, it goes down after sometime but leaves behind some discoloration. I've been to the doctor about the swelling and done various tests. And we are none the wiser. My doctor advised that the swelling maybe postural and also advised that I maintain a good diet. I'm not convinced. There's still the swelling from time to tme and the discoloration thereafter. I don't know what to do. I've had a second opinion but no one seems to know why this is happening. Please advise. It's not Vericose viens, I don't have liver problems, I am not diabetic. What could it be. Any GP's in the house, doctors please advice. Also is there any product out there for black skin that will completely remove the discoloration? I used to be able to wear skirts but I can't anymore.

Swelling, soreness and then discolouration?
i would like to ask if you have peformed any tests for lymphatic drainage.

if there is blockage in the lymphatic system theis can happen and if now it goes down by rest and putting up your feet after progression it may become almost permanent.

please ask your health care professional for the same.

another thing to test for would be if you have deep vein thrombosis.

also do you stay in area with mosquitoes.

elephantiasis could also fall in the differential diagnosis.

i think you should talk with ur doc for some of these tests.

once ur problem is solved the discolouration will reduce on its own

Bruises from blood thinners???

Have a family member who is on blood thinners for more than a year...recently several nurses caring for him in the hospital questioned the discoloration on his forearms, I assumned bruising from thinning skin combined with blood thinners = bruising. One of the nurses showed me what a blood thinner bruise looks like on his arm and said the "other" was not caused by med's....said something about his skin and lack of circulation..the discoloration resembles brusing but with a darker purple/black color..both sides of his lower forearms are covered. Does anyone out there have an idea what might be the culprit? He is 78yrs old with COPD, CHF, Dysphagia, circulatory problems as well as occasional elevated B.P., has had two strokes and is currently in ICU from coding (complications from pnemonia)...on respirator and beginning dialysis.

Bruises from blood thinners???
Older folks have very fragile thin skin and frequent skin tears from falls, etc...add to this the decreased circulation due to heart conditions or partial blockage of blood vessels (cholesterol over the years built up), bluish skin tone from heart or lung problems where oxygen doesn't get to the peripheral tissues ... and bruising from blood thinners and they can get a lot of discoloration on their periphery (arms and legs)...it doesn't clear up easily (if at all)...I don't know that you can easily distinguish where one thing ends and the blood thinners begin...it is just a degree of a LOT purple/black color that doesn't clear up in a timely fashion...vs a small bruise that clears up eventually...
Reply:My husband takes blood thinners and has bruising all the time. He bruises really easy too. The harder the blow the worse the bruise is. I would talk to his doctors, not the nurses. They know alot but they don't know what the doctor does about his medical history. The doctor lowered my husbands blood thinner and he doesn't bruise as bad as he use too. Just express your concerns to his doctor, I feel like with all the different problems he has that there's not going to be alot they can do. All the medications are probably amplifying the problem. Hope he gets better, God Bless.

Acne scars?

Just want some general imput on how to deal with scars. I have weird genetics and i know its a genetic factor due to my mother. She got some routine surgery done.....and she scarred bad....the doc said she rarely sees a scar from the operation and never as bad as my mom had it.

For myself...i remember once in highschool, we were writing on our arms iwth pencil...you konw the dry skin comes up and you write a message in white basically. A bunch of us did that out of boredom cuz our teacher ran out of class claiming she was blind and my arm actually scarred up. What i wrote lasted for 6 months and i didnt' draw blood or anything....

Anyways, my acne always leaves a discoloration scar. I have brown skin to begin with and it leaves black spots. I normally get those rare gian pimples too....so like penny sized marks. i just got some new formed pimples yesterday and without playign wth them...they are still there and already scarred.

Just tryign to see how to deal with them

Acne scars?
Wash your face TWICE a day and no more. After about two weeks you can start washing your face three times a day (Clearasil pads work well when you can't use soap and water). Don't over wash your face or you'll make things worse.

When you get a zit, try dabbing a tiny bit of WHITE (NOT a gel) toothpaste on it before you go to bed. It'll zap it overnight. Don't know about the scars, it may or may not help stop them before they form.

Good luck, and when all else fails, seek a dermatologist!
Reply:My doc gave me a Rx for Accutane. Took it for 3 months, and no more zits! There was talk of taking it off the market - it causes birthdefects in pregnant women - no prob for you! It does dry lips and mouth, so if you take it, use plenty of lip balm and drink lots of water. Report It

Reply:I am exactly like you!All my pimples scar!I have big scars on my forehead and where my hair line.I've tried so many acne cream and it doest really help I'm fine with the pimples but no with all the scarring! Report It

Reply:Accutane would be too harsh on my skin so I cant use it.Proactive sucks too!I really don't know what to do but my dermatologist said to do laser when I'm like 18.I think I might try mederma... Report It

Reply:see a dermatologist
Reply:my view is that you try to use as much drying cream as possible... since your face oils up quickly like mine... i don't see a reason not using it, and dried skin tends to shed so scars are easier to drop. about the biggie pimples... maybe its your diet

What do you think of the excerpt of my story?

Hello. My name is Victoria Vanderblit, one of the defective girls of a town called Applegale. Now, if you took a look at me right as I'm writing this, you would probably think I'm a average looking girl, with a curvy body, curly brown hair and almond shaped brown eyes like my beautiful mother, only my mother is thin and her hair is pin straight. However, in the town that I used to live in, Below average is taboo. Average isn't good enough. In order to survive in this demented town, you had to be perfect. It was the way of life.

Now, to others, Applegale might appear to be a beautiful and wealthty suburban town. The streets are lined with lush emerald trees, the air is filled with the perfume of apple blossoms, and the houses are exquistively crafted victorian mansions, surrounded with professionally landscaped lawns. Also, the people are so perfect and pristine as well, from their attitudes to their apperances. A smile is always planted on their beautiful faces, no matter how they feel inside. You'll never see a down face in Applegale; you will only see happy and blissful faces strutting around the neighborhood with their flawlessly sculpted bodies.

But don't let the outside appearance of Applegate fool you. Eventhough they appear perfect, they are poisoned and brainwashed in the inside. They will do everything to appear perfect to the society, to keep up their appearances and to have everyone and even the surroundings to look as perfect as possible- no matter what. They continue to be as wealthty as possible, to continue to have everything their heart desires. Also, they strive to be beautiful , to spend 3 hours everysingle day working out in the gym, and to correct any grosteque flaws by making a visit to their beloved plastic surgeon. And most of all, each family in Applegale mold themselves and give up their individuality in order to mold themselves. The men are the ones who earn the riches, while they run their household in their god like stature. The housewifes only have to be as beautiful, frail, and pristine as possible and help raise the children to conform into the society-if they have any. And the children supposed to be perfect, well mannered and must obtain book intelligence, who must conform into the Applegale's ways.

And for anyone who doesn't meet the requirements of perfection in Applegale, they are either alienated, secretly ridiculed, or made perfect by countless bottles of cosmetics and/or plastic surgery. Some, however, were even killed in result of being defective, from being drowned in Orchid lake, to complications in result of being under the knife of the process of being the prototypes of perfection. Some even commited sudicide, because they couldn't take the society of Applegale so much longer. But people from the outside world never knew about any of the towns inperfections, due to bribery. Most citizens in Applegale were multi millionares, so they gave a large fourtune to keep the grieving family and the police force quiet. Most of the time, they gave in to the large pile of money and never spoke another word about it. Applegale was a unofficial dictatorship, with most of the citizens being the dictator to theirselves.

But, I was lucky for only being alienated, instead of killed from my fellow neighbors. When I was born, I was a very beautiful baby, always adored by others. But as I got older, my deformity began to settle into my skin. I was cursed by discoloration as a large spot stood out in on the side of my face. My parents, ashamed and embarrassed by having to deal with a deformed child, immediately took me to get it fixed. But after the plastic surgeon practically laughed in my parent's face and told me that a 7 year old was way too young to go under the knife, they gave up their plans to cancel out my flaws.Well almost, at least.

What do you think of the excerpt of my story?
The concept of Applegate, a city with beatiful, perfect people, is pretty cliche, as well as the girl who doesn't fit in. I have to say I don't like the character Victoria Vanderblit much-she seems too whiny. And if a reader doesn't like your protagonist when the book is in first person, it's over. But this is only the beginning, most beginnings are cliche, and I would keep reading. You really express the characters feelings well, along with the settings and problems, but if you use that great expression too much it does get to seem like the main character is complaining.
Reply:Hmmmm... nice, compelling. Try not to overuse adjectives though. What I mean is, we learn so much more from a character or place by how they respond to an event. Remember, actions speak MUCH louder than words. Don't forget to avoid clumsy introduction words either. A misplaced "also" can detract from a story more than you think. Take the gap their and fill it with a scene change that could give the reader more insight.
Reply:it was hard for me to continue reading, it was all just description, description, description. i was thinking at first that it was like a journal entry, but with journal entries there are accounts of specific things that happen. i.e. " take suzan for example, from birth everyone said she was a golden child, a knock-out in the making, that is untill she hit puberty. by age 15 she had been under the knife a grand total of seventeen time, but unfortunatly that wasn't enough to save her from the "Accident" at Orchid Lake"

there could also be conversations she either had or overheard. I'm assuming that the intro is the only thing written in that format and that the rest of the story is in regular story form?

You're a very odd little lump, aren't you?

So, the past few days this has REALLY been bothering me.

I have this odd little bump-lump under my arm pit.

It's under the skin, so there's no discoloration or anything.

It's just a firm little, under the skin bump.

It's sore, and bothering me.

I can't participate fully in gym thanks to it, because we're doing bad mitten, and it hurts to lift my arm terribly high or swing terribly hard.

Any idea what this may be?

For all I know, it may just be a tiny little fat deposit.

But I want it to go away.

Now.

You're a very odd little lump, aren't you?
Your little lump may just be an infected hair follicle, or it may be a swollen lymph gland. It's difficult to say without seeing it, which is why you need to see a doctor. If you have an infection (even of a hair follicle) you may need an antibiotic.

What I can tell you is the more you notice something like this, the harder it is to leave it alone and not keep pressing or squeezing it. And the more you do this, the more swollen it will become, so you must leave the bothersome lump alone.

A doctor can advise on how to get rid of it, once you know what it is.

Good luck!
Reply:%26gt;.%26gt; bluesbro... was indeed, correct. I just didn't get here in time to vote him best answer. Report It

Reply:wife had something like this when she was a kid....go to the doctor's probably just a benign (non harmful) growth....

but it could portend something greater...

don't delay...check it out
Reply:Bumps or lumps under the armpit may indicate lymph-node problems.
Reply:It could just be a plugged sweat duct or swollen gland but it is best to see your doctor to have it checked out. Hope it gets better soon!

I have a serious problem...?

ok well my skin color is like light brown, and my hair is almost black so you can see it almost anywhere there is hair.you can see it on my lower back and on my stomach. its not like what men have but its still there. its even a little on my face, but trust me im not ugly or anything b/c of it, i still have guys like that want to kiss me and go out with me and all that, so i mean im still a normal girl. does anyone know anyway hair removal stuff or whatever it may be that will remove it for a while. and also that is not harmful to my skin and that wont cause discoloration??

this will seriously like change my life if you give me a suggestion that will work

thank you so much!! %26lt;333

I have a serious problem...?
Laser hair removal !!!! you need a few treatments and the hair will disappear and never come back again and you'll be hairless for the rest of your life !!! You might have to spend a little $$$, but it's worth it, believe me. I haven't shaved, waxed or used any type of hair removal creams for 5 years now.
Reply:shun the non beliver!!
Reply:laser its not expensive at all and that way you dont have to worry about it ever again...
Reply:Veet is like a more gentle version of Nair. It works better and doesn't smell bad like Nair. You can get it at your typical store like Walmart, ect.
Reply:try waxing
Reply:I agree with the girl above, use Veet.

Just not on your face. they have special different

things for that

try sallys hair removal.
Reply:i would def. recommend waxing or threading.. I personally prefer threading cuz its a lot less messy and its pretty quick..

sure it kinda hurts but you get used to it and its worth it once your done.

oh yeah... you can get it done at most salons or get some wax from a grocery store..

good luck. :)
Reply:u would have to get it waxed...shaving ur stomach will cause doscoloration and i doubt tht u want sum1 to shave ur back so get sum1 to wax it all....waxing is better then shaving and all tht stuff...besides shaving leaves ur skin dry....ur going to have to go to a spa every few weeks to get all ur unwanted hair waxed and here is wats bad about threading:

Hard to find a professional practitioner outside large cities. Can be painful and cause itching afterwards. Side effects can include folliculitis, a bacterial infection in the hair follicles, skin reddening or puffiness, and changes in skin pigment.
