Had sexual contact 2 weeks ago, now have developed strange symptoms, scared it may be HIV?

I'm a 24 yr old young man, 2 weeks ago I had protected sex (latex condom) with a girl. This was my first and only vaginal sex encounter so far.

A few days after our encounter I noticed discoloration on the head of my penis, also the skin on the head of my penis looks a little wrinkly.

A couple of days after that I developed 4-5 small bumps on my penis where the shaft %26amp; head meet on the bottom of my penis that irritate a little.

I have come to terms with the fact that I probably have herpes, but then last night I notice I felt pressure on my throat (nothing painful) %26amp; it's hard to swallow, %26amp; this afternoon while in the shower the left side of my neck got tense, %26amp; I think the lymph node on that side may be swollen.

After doing some research I noticed the last 2 condtions were common with people who have contracted HIV.

I dont know if I am overracting, but for the past couple of days I have been terrified %26amp; I cant sleep :(

It could just be a bacterial infection. Dont panic until you have a real reason. You need to get tested to be safe. That simple. It is unusual to notice any sypmtoms of HIV so early...I think it has a longer incubation period...Im not sure. Just go get tested...the county health clinic is free and discreet.
Reply:Go to the doctor. AIDS takes years to develop, it starts as HIV which is relatively symptom free and can go undiscovered for years so it unlikely to be this. Get it checked out by a doctor.

Could be your allegeric to latex and also you have some paranoia about sex
Reply:HIV takes months to show up , you have something else , maybe herpies.
Reply:This doesn't sound like HIV infection, which is extremely unlikely if you used a condom.

There could be a number of reasons for irritating bumps on your penis: they could be herpes, but that usually shows up as ulcers that are very tender. Another possibility is scabies, or they could just be common pimples. The only way to find out is to let your doctor look at them.

The pressure on your throat sounds like a symptom people often get when they are very anxious. I'd suggest it might be a good idea to talk to someone face to face about what you're anxious about, which is probably another good reason to sit down with your doctor.
Reply:You probably don't have AIDS, but if you keep screwing around you will end up getting it.
Reply:Definitely not hiv!! And you can take that to the bank!
Reply:First off you should go to the ER if your having problems with your airway!!! you could have Syphilis, because you kinda sound like you do....here some info on that....

In the first (primary) stage, about 10 days to six weeks after exposure: a painless sore (chancre) or many sores that will heal on their own. If not treated, infection spreads to the next stage. Secondary stage: skin rash that usually does not itch and clears on its own. Fever, swollen lymph glands, sore throat, patchy hair loss, headaches, weight loss, muscle aches, and tiredness. Latent (hidden) stage: symptoms disappear, but infection remains in body and can damage the brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, bones, and joints. Late stage: not able to coordinate muscle movements, paralysis, numbness, gradual blindness, dementia, and possibly death. CAN BE COMPLETELY CURED, but can be caught again, especially if both sex partners aren't treated.

TAKE MY WORD FOR IT%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;GO TO THE HOSPITAL TONIGHT!!

NOTE: HIV can take up to 10 years or more to have symptoms!
Reply:go get tested u idiot!
Reply:Get tested for any STD you can, but HIV may not show up for six months. It's also incredibly rare for a person to get HIV and have symptoms show up within two weeks. I'm just advising you to get tested for your own piece of mind. Having sex one time with a condom is possible - but unlikely - to lead to you getting an STD.

As for the throat/lymph nodes - it's WINTER. Half the people I know have similar symptoms. It's most likely one of the viruses that's getting passed around. The only way I can think that it MAY be STD related is if you to have a disease and your immune system isn't at its best. Again, highly unlikely, and you've probably just got a cold or flu bug, but by all means get tested so you can sleep at night.

Take it up a notch too - you're 24 and you've slept with one girl. I assume she's rather special to you. Talk to her openly about your concerns; find out her sexual history; ask her to get tested too.
Reply:WOW MAN

I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS BUT YOUR GONA DIE!

SORRY

SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE!
Reply:i really dont know. but i think its just an infection. maybe the condom that you used. but maybe it can be STD. check some doctors.
Reply:If you noticed symptoms after just a few days then you probably just had some type of reaction with the latex condom, especially if it was your first time using one. Most STD's won't show signs or symptoms right away or even after a couple days or weeks. I wouldn't worry, but if you are, just go see a dr.
Reply:I am not sure what you mean that this is your first vaginal sex, I assume that either that this the first time you had sex or you had anal sex before ( which you should never have, due to the fact of the feces and baceria that leaves in there). It sound that with discoloration of the penis and having bumps in your penis that you have HERPES. Sometimes HIV testing does not show that you have HIV/AIDS because the virus is what we call in medical field INACTIVE, but it can be active anytime especially if you get sick like a cold, fevers, sore throats because your immune system weakens and even though it releases white blood cell to fight infection sometimes that is not enough and antibiotics are required. It sounds more like HERPES, but I still say you should see a doctor. Don't be ashamed. I work in a clinic and we have people all the time who come in for STD testing. Is this the first time you used a condom? I have heard some people that they have an allergy to latexx, even though condoms are made to be hypoallergic.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
Reply:The only way to determine for sure whether you have HIV/AIDS is to be tested for HIV infection. You cannot rely on symptoms to know whether or not you are infected with HIV. Many people who are infected with HIV do not have any symptoms at all for many years. But for those who do, what are the symptoms of HIV? First...three things to keep in mind.

Important Fact #1

No one should assume they are infected if they have any of these symptoms. Each of these symptoms can be related to other illnesses.

Important Fact #2

The only way to determine whether you are infected is to be tested for HIV infection.

Important Fact #3

You cannot rely on symptoms to establish that a person has AIDS. The symptoms of AIDS are similar to the symptoms of many other illnesses. AIDS is a medical diagnosis made by a doctor based on specific criteria established by the CDC.

The Symptoms of HIV Infection:

•rapid weight loss

•dry cough

•recurring fever or profuse night sweats

•profound and unexplained fatigue

•swollen lymph glands in the armpits, groin, or neck

(lymphadenopathy)

• diarrhea that lasts for more than a week

• white spots or unusual blemishes on the tongue, in the

mouth, or in the throat (thrush)

• pneumonia

•red, brown, pink, or purplish blotches on or under the

skin or inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids (Kaposi

Sarcoma)

•memory loss, depression, and other neurological

disorders

So you should relax! And if you have been at risk, wait 2-3 months before getting an HIV test.

That's My Best answer! Hope it can help!
Reply:1. In truth, the chances of you getting HIV from unprotected vaginal sex is very, very low ... even if the woman you're having intercourse with is infected (Less than 1 in 1,000). Still, you should always use protection.

2. The early symptoms of HIV are also the symptoms for about 30 other inflictions -- including the common cold. However, if you're really worried, you should go get yourself tested just so you can sleep easier at night.
