Help!. My legs and ankles swell up. When I rub the affected area, it goes down after sometime but leaves behind some discoloration. I've been to the doctor about the swelling and done various tests. And we are none the wiser. My doctor advised that the swelling maybe postural and also advised that I maintain a good diet. I'm not convinced. There's still the swelling from time to tme and the discoloration thereafter. I don't know what to do. I've had a second opinion but no one seems to know why this is happening. Please advise. It's not Vericose viens, I don't have liver problems, I am not diabetic. What could it be. Any GP's in the house, doctors please advice. Also is there any product out there for black skin that will completely remove the discoloration? I used to be able to wear skirts but I can't anymore.

i would like to ask if you have peformed any tests for lymphatic drainage.
if there is blockage in the lymphatic system theis can happen and if now it goes down by rest and putting up your feet after progression it may become almost permanent.
please ask your health care professional for the same.
another thing to test for would be if you have deep vein thrombosis.
also do you stay in area with mosquitoes.
elephantiasis could also fall in the differential diagnosis.
i think you should talk with ur doc for some of these tests.
once ur problem is solved the discolouration will reduce on its own
