Pelvic Peeling?

I noticed red spots forming on my hips covered by thin layer of dead skin. If I scratch the dead skin off, the skin under turns red but isn't sore. It looks sort of like a hickey just smaller...If I carefully peel the dead skin off with tweezers, there is no discoloration. I'm gonna go see a dermatologist soon but wanted an idea as to what it might be. It doesnt itch or hurt at all. It's just kind of gross to think that my pelvis and hips are peeling...and in spots that eventually connect no less. Any ideas? I'm not sexually active nor have I had any other problems of such in the past.

Pelvic Peeling?
Maybe ingrown hairs
Reply:it might be a reaction to something that you are eating
Reply:Maybe pityriasis rosea - Your derm will be able to verify this but I have the exact same thing happening to me on my right flank above the hip bone at the level of the bellybutton. And it's spreading in a Christmas tree type pattern - doesn't itch but is scaly and red. Here is what I found:

Also there is usually another spot on your body that looks like it called a "herald" sign. Mine is on my left lower leg.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Are you wearing clothing that is rubbing you in those places? It could be from friction of clothes on skin.
