I started noticing like a dark mustache looking thing above my upper lip. It's driving me crazy! I started menopause about a year and a half ago and that's about when it appeared. I've tried fade creams but they take 3 months to work. Also tried to scrape my upper lip with soap and a nail filer trying to take off top layers of skin. That just made my lip black and RED. This may seem funny to some people and I can laugh at myself but I really need help. Because of this, I have to wear alot of makeup to cover it up. If anyone can help me, I would be forever greatful! Thank you in advance!
How do I get rid of this black discoloration above my lip?
Apply "Terracortril" ointment, and expose to direct sunlight for 15 minutes. Do this for 15 days.
Reply:Use a razor like I do. works wonders.
Reply:Visit a dermatologist who can prescribe something for you. Im sure this is not uncommon.
Reply:Have you considered seeing a dermotologist? I am post menopausal so I know what you're talking about. At our age, it is very possible that it could be pre-cancerous and need to be removed. I'd certainly recommend seeing someone if what you've done so far hasn't helped.
You might also try some coverup one shade lighter than your foundation. Coverup / foundation / coverup and powder lightly.
