I have pretty good skin and its always been clear, but I have noticed that next to my mouth on each side I have to fleshy bumps. They aren't like sores or anything but they are slightly discolored and kind of just like a little more fatty fleshy skin next to my mouth. I am not sure if it is because I used to bite the inside of my mouth a lot when I was younger or what. Is their anything I can do about it cosmetic surgery or something. I am only 18 yrs old so I am pretty sure its not due to aging or anything. Thanks in advance.
Facial Discoloration?
HI. No question see a pro, but in the mean time you could be like me and your bumps are from your toothpaste. Oddly enough most people just wipe off the paste and after time it clogs and irritates your skin around your mouth. How do I know? It happened to me. It just never dawned on me to wash it off.... Try washing your toothpaste off your mouth if you don't already and see if that helps you too :)
Reply:You probably have scarring in the corners of your mouth from biting/chewing your lips when younger. Plastic surgery could help, but it's going to be expensive. And at 18 I would do it now ~ you are just begining your adult life. Don't wait.
I'd see a dermatologists first to determine exactly what it is. It could be impetigo, or some infection that can be cured by medication. SEE A DERMATOLOGIST immediately.
