I frequently wear high heels and strappy sandals. Because the side of my pinky toe is constantly rubbing against the side of the show or straps I got corns on the the side of both pinky's. Well, they're gone, but now my skin is discolored on the sides.
Is there anything I can do to return them to the normal color or remove the discoloration?
Discoloration of pinky toe from narrow high heels and strappy sandals...?
I think that it's temporarily discolored from the "scar tissue" of the corns (underneath the skin). Try rubbing Mederma or Neosporin on your toes throughout the day. Obviously, don't wear those types of shoes for a while. If you don't notice any changes, see a foot doctor.
Reply:Try giving your feet a break and wear loose-fitting shoes without heels for while. Birkenstocks are stylish right now, and they are a LOT easier on the feet and toes than standard trendy shoes. Let your toes heal and the color should return to normal if you haven't permanently damaged them in the name of style.
Reply:The person who sent the other reply to your question is correct. You got corns because you are wearing shoes that are too narrow for your feet. By wearing the narrow toes %26amp; high heels you are pushing your toes further down into your shoes, and you have now damaged (bruised) your nails. The other reply was also correct in giving your feet a break...if you don't want to wear Birkenstocks, buy some thong-type sandals. You can find some very attractive heeled sandals and thongs.
Reply:uh myb u lost circulation? jk if u had corns on the sides of both ur pinky toes the discoloration is probably only for a while and it is most likely from the scar tissue (uh u mite not want to listen to me im not quite sure how accurate i am!)
