For maybe 2 months now my face has gotton discolored or red/darker than the rest of me (its litteraly 2 or 3 skin tones darker than the rest of me !!) I know im in my teen yrs and all which is what my mom says is the reason for the discoloration but I think its something diffrent... I have extremely oily skin, red sorta like bloches around my nose, alot of black and white heads, and again my face is darker than the rest of me. Do you know any thing that would cause this? Do you know how to fix/cure my skin? PLEASE and any other advise for healthier prettier skin. THANK YOU sooo much = ) !! ♥
Im a 15 yr old girl and have a question about my skin... PLEASE HELP me ♥?
I would go try a microdermabrasion facial that's where they remove the first layer of dead skin and a facial can get rid of all your black heads and set you up on a cleansing treatment.
You might have rosacea if you have redness there are some creams for that as well. Try glytone products.
If you are using retina or any product from your dermatologist for your acne usually it contains a substance in it that can discolor your skin because it is sun sensitive so i would make sure you wear lots of sunscreen. And there's something for dark spots like scars or acne scars it's a skin bleaching cream that helps as well.
I would go get a facial, and make sure you wear lots of sunscreen
Reply:If you are taking the pill, it can discolor your skin, particularly your face. See a dermatologist.
Reply:I know it is hard going thru this but if you are seeing a dermatologist they would most likely have said something to you if it was not the normal teen thing! Many teens have much worse acne than others do - it is painful both physically and emotionally!!! But rest assured it will pass!!! Do whatever your doctor recommends, be careful of your make up choices there are face friendly brands and washes that can help with the oil problem - ask the pharmacist at the drug store fo suggestions!!! There are always new products that you can try and sometimes it may take a while for you to find the one that works best for you!! Have you tried a tanning bed or better yet a little sun exposure every day ( just a little ) I have heard that may help, unless the meds you are taking from your doctor make you sensitive to sunlight - if so avoid tanning beds and sun!!!! Try to relax a little and let go of the worry and stress because stress does contribute to acne flare ups!! Once yo know you are doing all you can you must try not to think about it so much - get busy with your school work, friends, after school activities, etc. so that time will pass more quickly and you will not have the time to dwell on it! Then one day you will realize that your complexion is better!! Just hang in there and know that you are not alone!! Most teenagers have to deal with this at some point!! Good Luck!!
