What can I buy over the counter that will fade a burn mark from my daughters leg?

My 3 yr old recently dropped very hot corn on her leg which has left a pretty bad skin discoloration and I need something that will take it away.

What can I buy over the counter that will fade a burn mark from my daughters leg?
If there is any blistering, or skin breakage take her to see a doctor. First aid is not enough for a severe burn.

Keep the area clean and covered with a dressing. No, exposure to the sun.

When you are sure there is no infection and it is healed:

Try opening a vitamin E capsule and dabbing the oil inside the capsule gently on the discoloration. Repeat this daily for a week or two. Allow no exposure to the sun that can make the scarring worse.
Reply:band aid.
Reply:Mederma.

Available over the counter.
Reply:there are several over the counter products that will reduce the appearance of a scar/burn.

However with a child that young, I'd suggest calling the peditrician and asking if it is ok to use such products.
Reply:If you find out, please let me know, I have a 7 Month old and she is starting to run and expolre everything, I'm sure it that ointment or medication will come in hand whene she gets older.

-thanks, Joshua
Reply:aloe vera jelly
Reply:yes, you can
Reply:Ice/keep area cool and some light dressing/gauze

Try aloe vera gel, its soothing to touch and is great for healing skin with less noticable scars
